This
was an injury crash in which this small pickup struck
the passenger side rear of another vehicle then rotated
off the roadway and slid along and on top of the guard
rail. The driver was convicted of Aggravated Vehicular
Assault based on driving under the influence and excessive
speed. |
|
This
was a fatal crash when the Jeep struck the sanitation
worker loading the truck from the rear. Crush was
used to determine this driver was not speeding, but
she admitted to being sleepy when the crash occurred. |
|
This
fatal crash occurred when the intoxicated driver swerved
into the median and overturned, ejecting the passenger.
The critical speed yaw left by the tires indicated
the vehicle was speeding when it entered the median. |
|
This
fatal crash occurred when a pedestrian tried to cross
an interstate highway. Skid marks left by the vehicle
showed it was moving a minimum speed of 67 mph when
the driver braked to avoid the pedestrian. |
|
This
crash occurred when the intoxicated driver drove off
the left side of the roadway and vaulted after striking
a culvert. The vehicle overturned and the driver was
killed. My calculations indicated he was not speeding
at the time of the crash. |
|
This
crash occurred when the white car crossed the center
line and struck the pickup head-on. The white car
was passing another car on a curve and hill crest.
By my calculations, the white car was exceeding the
speed limit. |
|
This
crash occurred when the small pickup in the foreground
pulled from a stop sign into the path of the other
pickup. The driver in the near pickup was killed in
the collision. Speed was not a factor for the striking
pickup. |
|
This
crash occurred when the white car struck the parked
moving van head-on. The driver of the white car was
looking into a setting sun and did not see the moving
van. I was able to determine that the car was not
speeding at the time of the collision. |
|
This
crash involved an intoxicated driver, excessive speed
and multiple fatalities. I calculated the vehicle's
speed to be almost 30 mph over the posted speed limit
when the driver dropped of the right side of the roadway
and lost control. |
